lxc storage seems exclusively about creation and deletion. For example, if I try to use create with btrfs and the device already has an existing btrfs filesystem on it, I get an error percolating up from btrfs.progs indicating the device already has a btrfs filesystem on it and the operation completely fails.

I have not found any options to add a storage source without creating it from scratch this way. This makes it awkward (or, afaict, actually impossible) to use storage volumes on removable media so that I could:

lxc storage import foobar btrfs

The import part of this command being non-existent. The goal here would be to attach volumes in storage foobar to running containers in a context where dir storage is not feasible.

Is there any solution to this, or is lsx storage simply not the right path?
