I know what SSH agent is, but a little confused about its participation. Can anyone please guide me how to use it more efficiently. Maybe, suggesting a good tutorial? Thanks.

SSH Agent basically remembers your password. So in one session, you only need to type your password once. That is it's sole purpose.
