I am experimenting on some rescue situations using CentOS7 minimal image and virtualbox.
I:
- deliberately deleted my
initramfs
file - booted from CentOS7 minimal iso image
- entered into rescue mode
- chrooted into
/mnt/sysimage
- run
dracut -f initramfs-$(uname -r).img $(uname -r)
However the last command fails with:
dracut: Cannot find /usr/lib/dracut/dracut-init.sh
dracut: Are you running from a git checkout?
dracut: Try passing -l as an argument to /mnt/sysimage/bin/dracut
Am I missing any steps in the recovery process?
