Following along this example, I've made a copy of us file in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/, edited the alphanumeric part to type some arabic words with my preferred arabic phonetic keyboard layout, saved it as arab and at the bottom of endev.xml file in /usr/share/X11/xkb/rules/, I've added these lines:

<layout>
<configItem>
<name> arab </name>
<shortDescription> arab phone </shortDescription>
<description> arab phonetic </description>
<languageList>
<iso639Id> eng </iso639Id>
</languageList>
</configItem>
<variantList/>
</layout>

If I add my custom layout in System Settings > Input Devices > Layouts in this way:

enter image description here

it works perfectly in my latex document. For typing Bangla in the same latex document, I use IBus Avro Phonetic Keyboard, so I've got two icons for language selection in taskbar like this:

To get rid one of those I wanted to add my custom layout in IBus Preference BUT I don't see my custom layout here:

in IBus Preference. How can I add it in IBus Preference to get rid of Keyboard Layout Icon in taskbar?
