I have a Fedora Desktop machine (192.168.16.109), on which I'm running VirtualBox which is running Fedora Server edition (192.168.16.112) for development purpose. There's bridged connected selected in networking setting of VirtualBox.

I ran a boilerplate go application which runs on port 8080. I was not able to access the go web app on my desktop machine accessing it through http://192.168.16.112:8080.

After a few research, I found that disabling firewall resolves the issue. And firewall is the culprit.

Firewall on Cockpit

In my case, I can disable the firewall without any doubt, but I don't want to do this. What I want is all people on LAN can access my http://192.168.16.112:8080.

Is there any setting that allows an entire subnet to access all the ports of my server?

I tried doing is through GUI, but the option is disabled.

Disabled Option for Add Zones

As far as I have noticed, fedora server is using firewall-cmd to manage firewall.
