wifi crash firmware iwlwifi displaylink
New contributor
i'm posting here as i have no idea what to make of it and i cannot find any information.
I have an USB screen (Asus MB169) using DisplayLink driver. My wifi card is recognised as a Dual Band 9560 currently using iwlwifi-9000-pu-b0-jf-b0-43.ucode (the same result happen with any firmware from 33 to 43, my wifi card doesn't seem to want to load any 46 driver).
My distribution is Pop Os 19.04 also i'm pretty sure that would be the same for any ubuntu based distro at least.
uname -a
:
Linux pop-os 5.0.0-21-generic #22-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jul 2 13:27:33 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
If i have my usb screen plugged in. Iwlwifi crashes on loop. constantly. Like every minute / 30 sec, leading a super instable wifi. If i disconnect my usb screen. The problem disappears.
Here is the output of dmesg -T | grep iwl
:
