I recently installed Xubuntu 18.04. I had an initial username which I wanted to change. I used usermod to change the name, but realized my home folder still had the old name. I then tried sudo usermod -d home/newname newname. It gave an error message which said if could not change the directory name. I then tried it again and there was no message. I tried logging onto my account to check the directory and thats when the login loop began. When i log on the screen goes black, and then it reopens the login screen.

Ive followed this website and nothing worked: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.maketecheasier.com/fix-ubuntu-login-loop/%3Famp

I then viewed my xsession-errors because I have heard that this can be helpful, but I have no idea what I am looking at. Can someone please take a look at the xsession-errors and see if they can figure out the problem? here is a photo of my xsession-errors output
