This is about proxychains
in Kali Linux.
I use proxychains
on my desktop without any problem, but when I try use it on my laptop I install tor
, and proxychains
, and I configure proxychains.conf
and use it normally. It work only for about 5-10 seconds, them I get error in the terminal like this...
|S-chain|-<>-127.0.0.1:10004-<--timeout
|DNS-response|: tools.kali.org does not exist
|S-chain|-<>-127.0.0.1:10004-<--timeout

|S-chain|-<>-127.0.0.1:10004-<--timeout
|DNS-response|: www.facebook.com does not exist
|DNS-request| www.bbc.co.uk
When I go back to proxychains.conf
I see the file was change to default basic values:
strict_chain
proxy_dns
tcp_read_time_out 15000
tcp_connect_time_out 8000
[ProxyList]
socks5 127.0.0.1 10004
Whatever change I make in this file, everything goes back to default after I start proxychains
.
I have no idea why the configuration reverts or haw I can stop it from doing so.
