I upgraded both my computers from Mint 17.2 to 19. I no longer have hostname resolution. I cannot ssh or use ssh pass with a hostname as well as ping with hostname. So it would seem hostname resolution is the underlying issue. if I type ping htpc, the output is ping: htpc: Temporary failure in name resolution. I have the issue on both computers, but it will work finding its own hostname using the same method. I have changed nothing on my home network since the upgrades to Mint 19. Also, on my macbook, I can use these commands to talk to both my Linux computers without any issues, so it must be a linux problem. Any help would be appreciated.
